About

After twenty years of working for “The Man” and a sudden job loss I decided that it was time for me to do something that I enjoy and that makes me happy.  So after some soul searching and a lot of encouragement from family members I founded Desolation Road Photo.  The photography business proved a worthy challenge and now has morphed into the studio/gallery business as the opening of Desolation Road Studios has come to fruition!!!  This website as well as the studio/gallery/community artspace has become what I hope will be a way for me to show my take on my surroundings and perhaps give others a different perspective on art and perception as well as brighten lives in general in this tough economic and turbulent political time. I hope that people will look at my photographs and relate to them on not only their own level but perhaps see a new perspective or a fresh viewpoint.  Art I believe must do that. Its supposed to get inside your head and force you to question reality or make you think in a new direction. You will find photos ranging from artistic to social commentary on this blog and in my gallery.  I tend to favor visually pleasing images so things of a graphic nature will be few and far between. The gallery features a mix of some very talented artists and artisans and I’m elated to be able to bring them to you!!  This is my mission statement…   “Open your mind so I can crawl inside…think of the fun we’ll have!!!”
